ABOUT THE FOODSERVICE MONITOR

We cover Vietnam's 3 main cities

The syndicated Foodservice Monitor supplies consumer eating out purchase & visit data using Decision Lab’s online panel in Vietnam.

The Foodservice Monitor is a continuous tracker that collects interviews daily with a minimum monthly sample of 1,300 survey completes in Ho Chi Minh City (50%), Hanoi (40%) and Da Nang (10%), comprising of purchases/visits made by Vietnamese consumers aged 15+ when eating out and adults' report on what children under the age of 15 had to eat & drink out-of-home.

CHANNEL SEGMENTATION

We monitor 7 Main Channels

The Foodservice Monitor captures all visits where Food/Drink is prepared by a restaurant chef/street vendor. The following channel definitions are used:

Full-Service Restaurants

Fine Dining Restaurants

Average spend above VND110K per person. Fine Dining is segmented by cuisine type (Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Mexican etc.)

FAST CASUAL Restaurants

Average spend under VND110K per person & pre-coded chains. Fast Casual is segmented by cuisine type (Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Mexican etc), Fast Casual example chains: Kichi Kichi, Gogi House, Wrap & Roll, Pizza Hut, Mon Hue, Thai Express etc.
